Evaluation

One of the main things that I learnt during this process was the importance of planning before shooting. We spend a long period of time creating the storyline and discussing how we would shoot each scene. This meant that the filming time was shorter and we could film many of the shots in one take.
Another learning point for me was getting to grips with final cut express. I had only had experience using iMovie and final cut was more in depth and harder to grasp. I managed to understand the basics of its uses and produce a clean and professional looking final movie.
My knowledge of camera techniques has also improved during the project. I understood what each angle and shot meant but this was the first time I had used many of them in practice. Tracking shots and Pans were something that I used for the first time and I now have a greater understanding of their uses.

The Storyline

Our idea for 'The Package' incorporates a large number of camera techniques and angles in a short period of time. We will have a man holding a package looking alert and on edge, he will then burst through a door and run towards a change over point. He will hand the package over to another man, he will then run towards the camera and falls over leaving the package to fly through the air.
